It's not RE4 Broadcast is just a garbage program that has VRAM leaks and when the VRAM limit is exceeded in RE4 it crashes.Welcome to /r/NVIDIA. No D3D crash, no performance loss, nothing. Turning off Nvidia Broadcast entirely allowed me to play with shadow cache, hair strands, RTX, etc (all the settings people keep saying to turn off) without any issue last night for 6 hours. After some time playing I'd be stuck at sub 30 FPS and people couldn't hear me anymore on mic or on Discord. ![]() I had this same problem with The Evil Dead game months back. Normally you wouldn't notice as the program still opens and behaves normally on a surface level, but internally it stopped functioning. What I noticed is every time it happened my voice would completely die on Discord because Nvidia Broadcast froze. I'd go from 120+ FPS to 45 before hitting the error. Sometimes it was a slow degradation, sometimes instant. I'd play fine for a few minutes as performance began to degrade. Like y'all, I was running into this issue. Been seeing a lot of people offering fixes that some day work, some day don't. ![]()
